How do I add $9 for COD?

I have my site setup with Flat freight fees for each product but I want to charge $9 if someone does COD to cover the COD fee.
Can I do this?
How do I automatically add $9 if someone clicks COD?

You cannot. ezimerchant's payment methods do not alter the total of the order.

I also get a lot of COD orders and you must make the customer aware there is a surcharge. as ezimerchant does not allow a automatic surcharge on checkout here is what i have done to my checkout description for COD so that the customer is aware of the surcharge.

COD orders are sent to your nearest post office. You pay for the goods there, once delivered (Australia Only). Please note, that an extra $9.00 surcharge fee will be added manually on top of the normal freight charge.
