With the advent of V 4, we felt comfortable with the overall feel and functionality that we had a custom database 'add-on' developed, that now makes running all of our business a lot easier.
Our Database allows us to control Inventory - (stock levels adjusted when orders are downloaded), Allocate products to Suppliers and raise Purchase Orders. It also reports on stock levels by Supplier, Negative / Zero Stock items, as well as Back-Orders by both Customer & Supplier.
Customer service is made easier, by a 'Search' function that brings up the Customer Details plus their past orders, from now on, we also have the ability to enter (and hence get a report on), how they paid, how much they paid, how the goods were shipped including Con Note details etc. Great if the customer calls with a query.
There are some utility features to tidy up the database where the one customer may appear more than once, also to do manual Inventory Transactions where we may send stock out for processing into another product.
It is all based around the MS Access files used by EziMerchant + our own unique files. Everything was done with the probability of a migration to SQL in the future.
The purpose of this post is to really suggest the possibilities that exist to enhance the EziMerchant product. Thanks to David for his help in getting our consultant on the right track as far as the interface.
