Hello David
Do we have access to the email and password database our customers enter when placing orders?
I have a customer that needs his reset or changed as he suspects he entered a blank one. But it is a pertinant question for the next issue should one arise
Secondly, how do we know who has opted in and who hasn't on the 'special offers' checkbox. I received quite an abusive legal threat last week from someone who was at pains to point out they did not opt-in and the fact that they purchased did not give us a legal right to send them our newsletter
Thirdly, is the 'availability' tab in products and categories functioning yet?
Fourth - is there any way you can do an email out or advise on the forum when a new upgrade has been released?

1. The log in feature does not currently give you access to the customer password data, nor is their User Interface for the customer to change their password. If a client requests a password change, you can contact me and I will make the change until such time as we provide the proper user interface for the end clients to change it.
2. When ever a customer purchases from your web site they are added to the customer database - this has always been the case. The opt-in checkbox that was added to the log in feature is currently not functional - so regardless of the customers action, they will be added to the customers database in a subscribed fashion - we plan on fixing this soon.
3. Not yet.
4. We post each new beta in the forum - we have done this since we released the beta in December 2006. Look for the official download section. We release new beta versions quite regularly so check back ever 2 weeks and you should see a new one.

Some comments if I may
1. Is this user interface being planned for V4 or beyond
2. Perhaps this checkbox should be disabled in the interim?
3. ...
4. http://forums.ezimerchant.com/showthread.php?t=570 - good idea for regulars to bookmark this for future updates

The availability feature works OK in the following circumstance:
You have V4.0.77.1 and...
You are NOT using column based styles (it appears as thou your not - so you should be OK)The availability feature will break the shopping cart if its used with column based styles.
