Hey everyone,
I have been using ezimerchant for years and years now, great software - just started to venture out into custom themes for my own website.
Can anyone advise on the following?
I want to be able to display the vertical or horizontal navbar in text only - i have tried simple things like deleting the references to the images from the settings.ini, but this doesn't work.
Thanks
Rudi

This can be done by unticking a box inside of ezimerchant. Its in the ADD NEW PAGES section. Look for the box 'Navigation links are displayed as images' - and untick it.

Excellent, didn't realise it was that obvious.
next question;
How is the style controled for this text? is it in a style sheet?
currently the text is display like this: |[Home]
I would like to get ride of |[] and just have the word home?

Hi
This unfortunatly is not editable - its hardcoded.
We will be starting a theme update project soon, and this tag will be replaced by one or more tags which will allow you to format them as a HTML list - which will be the easiest for you to style. But for the moment, the text is |[Home]| etc

Hi David,
I hoping you can solve my next problem.
I have created my new theme and it works perfectly when i view it after it has been generated - ie the template has been applied to all pages.
Once i uploaded to my server the product and category pages are the old theme. i deleted all the old files and reuploaded. still no luck.
then i re generated the files and again it works offline, but then i got view one of the category files it category12.htm it is the old theme.
I thought i must have made a mistake when building my theme but i tried a standard one and it still does it.
You can see the problem at www.boobah.com.au
p.s i have also tried clearing my i.e explorer cacehe but that doesnt seem to be the problem, it actually is generating the old theme files for the products and category

When i installed v4 in vista it has problems booting up for the first time, so i set the program to run in compatibility mode (xp sp2).
I fixed the above problem by switching this off and re-generating the website.
It seems to be a permission issue with the folder??

Windows Vista will cause you no end of grief IF at the time you restored your site data your ezimerchant was not running with Administrator rights.
Unfortunatly the way to fix this is to backup your site data (if you dont already have a copy) and then deleting your site from ezimerchant.
Then update your ezimerchant to the latest version of ezimerchant (which will now automatically seek admin rights when it starts) and then restore your data.
