View Full Version : Dropped off Google

I have been getting good rankings with Yahoo, Altavista etc and have been slowly moving up Google's rankings. However today I have seemed to have disappeared from Google. Even though my pages are still indexed.
Has anyone else had this happen to them? Is it just a glitch that fixes it's self? Is this the Google Dance you talk about in other sections?

Hi Robby,
That has happened to most of us at one point. Just be patient, but continue working on your site. Make each page count with 'relevance'.
Google is always tweaking their system to make SERP (search engine results) as relevant as possible to the searcher. Some things they try may have an adverse reaction to some sites (your turn).
Look at each category and product too. The SEO (search engine optimisation) stuff, write that carefully, don't just use the generic site-wide key words and descriptions...relevance once again.
At the end of the day, relevant content will eventually find its way up the list.
Cheers,
Greg

If your site is well optimised enough it would probably just be what we call the google dance. this should fix its self soon. google is also in the middle of an update with their links and page rank updates etc at the moment so there will be a little movement here and there.

I am gradually creeping back into Google now. Patience seems to be the key. Funnily I am currently rating higher for Horse Gifts in Google Worldwide than I am for Oz only sites.
