Wrong State

I get a few of these every now and then It could be an over seas State added, as is this one, or .. say.. a Western Australian address with Queensland as the State.
Can you tell me how this happens? :confused:

This is a rare bug, it doesnt happen very often. We have a bug in our database for this and it will be fixed as soon as possible.

Yes I have had the same problem several times now as well. :(
Just today another one with NSW delivery address, but Queensland posted..I always have to check the address very carfully.
Post code should match state or you should get an error message..

I did have this problem a while a go
then it went away
now it has come back.. you do have to be very careful to check as this little problem has cost me money where i have been busy and not focusing when doing the invoicing as australia post has returned the items to me and i then have to re-address and pay for postage again.

Several customers reported a bug with the State/Country fields which affected only sites that had the 'Account Login' feature enabled.

The problem would occur if the customer lived outside of the Merchants state.

Example of the problem:

Senario:
Merchant location - NSW Australia
Customer location - Anywhere else OTHER than the Merchants location

Problem:
Customer creates an account the first time they place an order. They specify their location as QLD Australia. The order is recieved with the correct State/Country..
But...

The next time they order, they login and the GTS checkout remembers all their details, with the exception of the Country and State fields - which it would default to the Merchants Location (NSW Australia in this example) If they completed the order without checking the details, the order would incorrectly contain NSW Australia.

The Fix:
We have released a fix to the GTS server this morning so this situation will not happen again.

Other Info:
We are aware of another State selection problem however it is extremly rare. In this case, it would seem as thou the customer was able to select a State which does not match the country they selected. Example: NSW NewZealand.

We will fix this problem in the future.
