Hello,

I received a fax from turkey today from a company who says they tried to make an online order from our website and for some reason the shopping cart wouldn't let them do it.

What i would like to know is (as it raises other questions)

a) if they select cheque -- can that be rejected automatically for any persons outside australia (we will not accept international personal cheques)

b) option for bank draft in version 4 would be appreciated (for international orders)

c) freight based on country? or even zoning -- as per australia post for overseas orders. I have a lump sum at the moment; but australia post has zone 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

a) The GTS doesnt block anyone from attempting to order (unless you specify local and domestic orders only)

If you have 'Cheque' as a payment method then ANY one from anywhere will be able to select it. (Hopefully future versions will allow payment methods to be country specific)

b) OK.. noted

c) Noted (again)

Just checked my GTS settings and I am enabled for International
(as I already receive orders from Vietnam//US/UK to name a few)

I guess I need more information -- what do they need to enable on their browser in order for them to use the checkout cart?

Cookies and JavaScript (which are both enabled by default in all browsers)

My question to you is, did they ask for you to accept credit card and be sent via fedex instead? If they did then it's a fraud order. Fraudsters almost always email me to make an order rather than through the shop because they know the chances of passing all the minimum requirements is virtually nil, whilst in email they can specify delivery method that allows them to grab and run. The number of times they request the delivery point be at a cargo ramp at an airport.... it's so funny! Email also allows them to get as many emails out as possible whilst the card is still hot. I am surprised the Indonesian police aren't waiting at the airport delivery ramp to look for asians with an all European name on the parcel to be collected! Like duh!
