I have Google removing pages from my site because they are saying the following:
--------------------------------------------------------
April 17, 2008

Dear site owner or webmaster of octapc.com.au,

While we were indexing your webpages, we detected that some of your pages were using techniques that were outside our quality guidelines, which can be found here: http://www.google.com/webmasters/guidelines.html

In order to preserve the quality of our search engine, we have temporarily removed some webpages from our search results. Currently pages from octapc.com.au are scheduled to be removed for at least 30 days.

Specifically, we detected the following practices on your webpages:

* The following hidden text on octapc.com.au:

BUY eTrex case GREY BUY eTrex case GREY BUY eTrex case GREY BUY eTrex case GREY BUY eTrex case GREY

We would prefer to have your pages in Google's index. If you wish to be reconsidered, please correct or remove all pages that are outside our quality guidelines. When you are ready, please visit:

https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/reinclusion?hl=en

to learn more and request a reconsideration request.

Sincerely,

Google Search Quality Team

Now, I did a quick search on my site using the search words eTrex case and got the following in the "Matches Found"

BUYeTrexcaseBLACKBUYeTrexcaseBLACKBUYeTrexcaseGREY BUYeT

which is clearly different to what google say is the offending hidden text. The offending page is as below

http://www.octapc.com.au/category776_1.htm

the problem is when I do a "View page source" with the right mouse button I did a find and it found nothing except for this below which repeats itself throughout the page.

<SCRIPT language=JavaScript1.2>
mmLoadMenus();</SCRIPT>
<SPAN id=menuContainer>

Is this script part of ezimerchant or from a cut and paste from the Gilsson web site?

Niko,

I went to the page you had given: http://www.octapc.com.au/category776_1.htm

And went to the file menu : Edit with microsoft office front page

Line 758: footer link bar not visable on this page - but the code is in your website for it.

The code that Google is complaining about was NOT included by ezimerchant - The only way it could have got into your site was by it being added by you - probably from a copy and paste of code from another site.

Your page also includes a javascript error - You should remove any script code from the page to ensure you have no javascript errors appearing.

I would start by clearing out (completly) the category description - I think you will find this solves your problem as this page only seems to contain a category description and zero products.

If you dont already have one, I would highly recommend you get yourself a Google webmasters account and make sure your site is included in it - The webmasters account can alert you to problems like this and give you the tools to advise Google once the problems have been resolved.

Thanks Ocean, and yes I do have a Google Webmasters account and it tells me diddly squat. I thought that data was imported, so I will clear it out and re-do that product.
