Freight charge based on payment option

Is there a way to change the freight options based on the payment option chosen by the client

example
If you currently choose pick up as a payment option then you are charged freight on the order but it's not being sent anywhere?

I'm just testing my site out atm but I was a little surprised at that happening

Hi

Payment methods do not effect freight costs.

The pick up payment method was added to ezimerchant because of an end user request and was added with the understanding that it would not effect freight calculation.

May be as a wishlist item then as I'm planning on selling some items that will require pickup. Just so that I can process and invoice without having to adjust invoices and so on.

Another possible issue would be customers paying over the internet before picking up, would then be charged too much at the checkout.

If a customer selects the payment option as pickup then ezimerchant does not allow the customer to Pre pay for the item over the internet.


However Ezimerchant has the ability to add a note or text along with the payment option and I guess you could simply place a note to your customers to say a freight charge will still show on your order but please ignore this if picking up.
