Hey there,
We're currently making a website for a client and we've incorporated the AustPost DRC into the website.
I know the document says the package/parcel cannot exceed 105cm in length and over 20kg, but might there be some way around it?
Also, another problem that we've been having is that it calculates each items' freight weight & price separately so that in total, the freight cost is actually even more expensive the items themselves! Ideally we want the more the customer orders the freight would calculate a decent deal for them.
We tried calculating the freight at the end when the customer would checkout cart, but the DRC would not allow as the package is too big or has to many items.
We also tried to calculate items per categories. For example, let's say we wanted to sell 10packages of cups and 10packages of plates, but to send it off in one bulk.
The freight would calculate the cups and plates separately which is fine, but then it would calculate the total freight as two completely different entities instead of having it one post. I hope that made sense, we're in a real bind!!
Any help would be much much appreciated!!
Thank you in advance
