View Full Version : Any chance we can have an individual <title> for each page we create?

At the moment, it doesn't appear that we're able to have an individual title for all the pages we create in ezimerchant. We're kinda stuck with the one global title (with the exception of the category1_XXX.htm's and prod1.htms, prod2.htm pages etc). It's important to be able to do this because google really places a lot of importance on the title of a page when deciding rankings - I know we can change the title once the site has been regenerated using a normal html editor, but its a real pain to do it each time after a site re-gen.
David, what are the chances?
Cheers
Chris

Hi Chris
ezimerchant pro allows you to change the title, description and meta keywords for almost EVERY page on your site.
The only pages it doesnt allow individual customissation are the 'additional pages' (such as about us, links, viewcart, search etc.
So each and every category, subcategory and product page can be customised.

How? My meta keywords seem to be greyed out on individual pages?

Thanks David,
Yep, those "about us" and "FAQ" pages etc, are the ones I was referring to... It would be great to be able to have individual titles for all of them, they will rank much better if that was possible...
Chris.
PS. any idea why google changed their algorithm and re-ranked on Wednesday nite? My site went from number 2 world-wide for "sleep mask" to 70. In fact all my targetted search terms have been hit. Traffic's stopped! So have the orders. I checked http://www.webproworld.com forum and I'm not the only one, but what has google done? Did anyone else lose their rankings? Anyway, no more grizzle - I'd best start paying for traffic like everyone else.

Hi
Current version of ezimerchant Pro doesnt allow you to change those pages titles/keywords etc but future versions will.
No idea on the google issue!
