Over time I have accumulated a huge list of customer contacts in Ezimerchant. As I use this list to send weekly newsletters I would like to start clearing iout the 'dead' contacts. I know that customers who have addresses have purchased from me before but I have a whole list of contacts with no addresses. I have no way of telling how long they have been on the contact list - whether they have been recent additions or sitting on the list for 12 months without buying anything. Is there anyway of telling how long customers have been on the list so that I can clean out those who have not purchased for a significant period of time.
Thanks
Wilma

Hi Wilma
There is no easy way to tell how long a client has been in the database unless you manually compare it to the orders table (which is not practical)
However, I would recommend you start cleaning your list by first removing all the customers whose email addresses fail (bounce) back to you. This will probably reduce your list substantially and will help speed up future email campaigns.
You may find that a lot of the recipients who receive your email read it and may only purchase something once every year or two - So it would be well worth keeping them in your list as long as their email addresses stay valid.

Thanks David. I already clear out any failed messages on a regular basis to keep the database as small as possible.
May I suggest that adding a feature for date of entry would be useful in a future version.

Thanks for the suggestion Wilma. It's a good idea. I have added it to our feature wish list system for potential inclusion in the future.
