Quickbooks

I noticed in one of the answers, I can't find it again, that ezimerchant does not synchronise with any business software. I have downloaded 3.7 and it gives me the option to synchronise with quickbooks. Does this mean that when I get my site up, this option will not work? It was a selling point. Please explain.

Hi Mick

ezimerchant Pro used to sync with Quick Books Pro 2002 however due to customer feedback we dropped the feature as it casued more problems for the end user than it solved.

We have not advertised Quick Books functionality for about 2 years. The only place you will see it is in the appliction itself... Its there for customers who used it originally and still require it. It wont work with current versions of Quickbooks so we dont reccommend you use it.

Sure,

Due to the way Quick Books worked the two applications had to have syncronised product databases, however Quickbooks and ezimerchant work very differently so issues with occur when keeping the data syncronised.

For example:
If you deleted a product from ezimerchant but not quickbooks then when you syncronised the product would come back into ezimerchant (because it still existed in the accounting package)

This just means we have to delete from quick books as well as ezimerchant, a simple issue. I need a tough one ;)

please ecuse my ignoarnace here, but can not work out how to post a new question. Anyway, i have a quickbooks problem in that when i report the BAS statement it is blank. Have checked all settings against another installation of the same version which works fine, any help would be most appreciated.
