View Full Version : Can I access the GTS to get order why I travel?

Can the Global server be accessed outside of the ezimerchant program? ie if travelling can I retrieve orders from any Internet access?

The only way to recieve orders is to have the ezimerchant Professional software installed on to the PC that your using.

If you happen to go overseas or interstate and want to check your orders you can - if you are prepaired to install ezimerchant Pro.

Steps:

1. Download and install the trial version of ezimerchant Professional from our website on the PC you wish to download orders on.

2. When you open ezimerchant Pro create a new site and give it a name. example: 'mysites orders'

3. When the registration wizard opens up there will be four options. Choose the last option - USE THIS PC TO DOWNLOAD ORDERS FOR AN EXISTING WEBSITE and then follow the prompts. Once this wizard is complete you will be able to download orders.

NOTES:

*Once orders have been downloaded they cannot be downloaded again on another PC.
* If your using a public PC be sure to DELETE the orders so that customer credit cards are not at risk of being stolen or used.

That's good for the remote access part but really I need to be able to consolidate my transactions back on my work PC once I return from travelling.

Ideally it would be useful if the trial version technique decribed here downloaded copies of the orders and didn't delete them from the server (A bit like when you set up for getting email from a PDA and selecting to leave the messages on the server so that you can still download them when you get back to the office without having to resync all the time).

or...

Some steps on an easy way to export the downloaded transactions from the trial version database back into the main office database on returning...

Without some way of doing this there are potential holes in the reporting and tracking of orders.

Any suggestions David on some workarounds for this?

When orders are downloaded from the GTS they are marked as 'downloaded' so they dont get sent to you again. In future versions of ezimerchant Pro we may make available the option to redownload orders etc but currently there is no way to consolodate them.
