im looking at setting up the auto opt in opt in mailing
list
i saw a note on the forum suggesting that the v4 would have this option
...is it something i should be allowing for ?

The v4.0 gts checkout will give you the option of showing your customers a checkbox which they can tick if they wish to be included on your newsletter mailing list. If they tick it then ezimerchant pro will allow you to email them using the bulk emailer. If they dont tick it then you can bulk email them.

I had a look in the General Web Settings and could not see an option to place the newsletter checkbox.
We are using Version 7.0 of EziMerchant Pro.

There is no newsletter feature in V3.7 of ezimerchant pro!?

We have not been able to use the existing "Add to Cart" this 4th Dec =- simply has stopped working
we also have promoted a 15% discount - did the usual with promotion section and uploaded - no result - nil
same goes for changing the info at the top of the store page ... changed and uploaded several times before today with no problem
same goes for the discount promotion
is there a problem this day with the gateway ?

If you have specific ezimerchant Professional technical problems that you need a direct responce to I would reccommend emailing our support team with your problems as they will be able to answer your queries quickly.
1. I have tried your site and cannot fault the add to cart features.
2. As at 10:25am December the 6th you dont have a promotion set up on the GTS. Did you use the UPDATE GTS function after setting your promotion? If you did and it still doesnt work please call me on 02 8889 8811 when infront of your PC and I will try to trouble shoot for you.
3. Changing 'info' ?? Such as and did you generate your site before uploading? you MUST generate the site to make any changes effective.

i have found that the usa program of getresponse.com has been excellent for collecting emails etc on visitors to our sites - we have more than a 1000 now registered with opt-in so that we can communicate easily and quickly. thats a 1000 customers we would not have had ...
