WISH: 'out of stock option'

Hey Guys, have already suggested this at one stage, but just wanted to get it out there: it would be great to have a function that allows a product to be displayed, with 'out of stock' written next to it, and no 'buy' button available. I'm aware that you can just make the product unactive, but i want to continue to display the products, yet not sell them when they are out of stock.
