Number of Products

I have just been watching my last upload and towards the end of it,i noticed it is was uploading prod1886.htm and thought this to a little funny as do not have that many products on our site. So I exported the products list and found that I have only 952 products, after sorting the list, I have noticed that there are few holes in the product list, I know that ezi has limit of 2500 and I am wondering what is causing he difference. EM doesnt have a fixed limit - 2500 is a recommended limit as performance drops off quickly when the javacript files excede about 1500. If products are deleted their number still remains as a unique id but will not be inclided in the JS files.
How many eziproduct#.js files are uploaded? this is what you need to keep to a minimum for performance issues.

New versions of ezimerchant (specifically 3.7.9 which is in testing at the moment) can break the 2500 limit as we have improved the way it handles javascript.

We still dont reccommend ezimerchant for massive sites but for those that want to go over 2500 (say 3000 or 3500) can do so without the entire site falling over!
