I am working with the trial version but so far great piece of software.
Wow, I am an intermediate Associate CIW (Certified Internet Webmaster) and this is the best piece of e-commerce software I've had the pleasure to work with. Everything is accessible through my local machine when setting up a shopping cart it's a breeze to work with and no online connection needed, excellent.
I love the way you can really "go to town" with the templates, edit them with web page editors and then use dreamweaver and Font Page to edit generated pages to really get a customized look. It's the quickest and easiest small business solution I've found trying other vendors like ANTIC that do not have such an easy to customize interface. I mean really, if you know your web technologies and scripting you can manipulate anything and everything the program has to offer, the JavaScript, html, and links to generate all of your web pages.
I can go on about how great the software is; easy of backing up database to a zip file, easy to recognize web folder structure making it easy to backup all or some web page files, WOW "is it really stand alone" I can copy and paste the whole ezimerchant folder and the program still runs, hell yea. Seriously if you have a small business client that wants an e-commerce site fast and cheap (real cheap) and they have none of the infrastructure you can set them up with very little time and thought using this software.
