Does anyone know how to tuen the tax off on your Ezimerchant site, The only way i have found to do this is by going through deleting the tax on every single product.
This makes it a bit of a pain when i have over 1200 products and i have to do each one individually. It takes upto 8 hours sometimes. Is there an easy way??

If you have Microsoft Access make a copy of your ezimerchant database first (as a back-up) and open up the database in MS-Access.

Open the "Products" Table. Under the "CostExTax" field you will see a number (1) - if you only have the one tax set up. Otherwise there maybe 2,3 etc for your other tax codes.

Change the All the "1"'s in the CostExTax firld to zero's or just delete them altogether. If you delete them you will have just a blank tax field when you view your items in Ezimerchant which is the default for a new item anyway. Or if you chose to put in zero's they will all be changed to "No Tax".

I hope this helps.
Kind regards

There is an easier way!

The products and categories section of ezimerchant Professional allows MULTIPLE SELECTION of products.

It even allows MULTIPLE SELECTION of categories (which then populates the products list on the right with all the products from all the selected categories)

You can simply select as many products as you want then RIGHT CLICK on them. A context menu will appear.. Click PROPERTIES. In the window that pops up you can change the TAX TYPE, The ACTIVE and DETAILED PAGE status.

This is the easiest way to make bulk changes to Tax Type, Active and Detailed Page options.

You can also set a 'Default Tax' type in the 'Tax Settings' section, so all new products will be created with your choice of tax type.
