Shopping Carts

I am currently a user of EziMerchant and have no desires to change whatsoever. However, we are currently in the process of developing a site which will have a much higher volume of products. Too many for a "generate html" based product without inventory control.

When I was originally sourcing the "best" shopping cart software, I remember it being just a complete nightmare of endless options. I was wondering if any of you, my fellow online retailers and developers might have some recommondations. Any help in this regard would be much appreciated.

Sorry, I figured I'd clarify a bit more. Our existing site will remain with EziMerchant as the volume will stay within reasonable limits, but the new site may or may not. I was just seeking a viable alternative with the ease of use of EziMerchant, the ability to customize it to the full extent, automatic inventory updates, and ability for multi-users.

I know ezimerchant dont really like discussion of alternative systems for obvious reasons, however OSCommerce has been mentioned on here before, and once setup (which may need the assistance of your web host depending on your tech skills) will do what you want.

God knows, I certainly didn't want to anger/offend the ezimerchant people. I love EziMerchant and won't be changing our existing site. I'm sure they'll understand as I only was seeking advice on a product which has features they don't offer. Seems fair in concept. Thanks for your help.

OSCommerce certainly seems to be a powerful solution - albeit hard to use when compared to ezimerchant Pro.
