Have you a page showing the settings for security when using XP? For the life of me I can't get the setting right to download orders. In Internet Options the advanced button has tick boxes for java enabling and SSL stuff, could you explain what needs to be ticked here please?

Just set everything to default!

If you cant download orders and you have the most up-to-date version of ezimerchant Pro then it will be one of the following things:

1. Internet Explorer thinks is disconnected.. just open IE and vist a few webpages then try to download orders.

2. Time and date is incorrect on your PC.. Set it correctly.

3. Firewall is blocking access.. This is the most common problem - Firewalls block communication.. Disable your firewall and then try to download orders.

It was set to default and out of curiosity I set it to lowest level with no effect. I access the net using Mozilla and no problems there, time and date is correct and I haven't installed a firwall yet.

I spoke to support and they told me to change some of the parameters in a vague fashion in advanced section of Internet options. I say vague, because he didn't want to go through the relevent portion in details, ie tick and untick which boxes specifically.

Just set all internet Explorer settings (Privacy, Security and advanced tabs) to default.

You MUST be able to get to sites via IE.. ezimerchant Pro uses IE to talk to our secure server (GTS), so if you cant browse with IE then you will have issues.

The other thing to check is the Server Name field in ezimerchant Pro.

Goto HELP-> ABOUT and click on SYSTEM INFORMATION.

Look down the list for GTS:

It should be https://secure.ezimerchant.com

If is ANYTHING different than the above, ezimerchant Pro wont be able to talk to the secure GTS server and you wont be able to get orders.

You will need to change this in the registry of your PC.. You can call me if you like and I can show you how to change it.

Hi

You must have been asked for the GTS server name at some point recently and you have manually entered this value.

ezimerchant Pro is looking at http://octapc for your orders when it should be looking at our GTS for them.

Somthing major must have happened to your system's registry for this to happen.

Depending on the version of ezimerchant that you have, take a look in:

V3.9.x

HKLM -> Software -> Infomedia -> ezimerchant -> Settings

V4.0

HKLM -> Software -> On Technology -> ezimerchant -> Settings

In here there is a string value called 'ServerName'

Make the value data secure.ezimerchant.com

Once you have set this correctly, ezimerchant should be able to download orders.
