View Full Version : BUG REPORT - Customer List last entry being overwritten

Hi David,

It seems there is a problem with automatic customer addition.

When an order is downloaded the customer is correctly added to the customer list but the previous cutomer's details are overwritten and seemingly lost. This is a very urgent issue.

The customer list uses the email address as the primary field. (unique field)

So if order one used an email address of say test@test.com

and they used a name of: TEST NAME

then ordered AGAIN using the SAME email address but this time used a DIFFERENT name the customer list would UPDATE the name to the name supplied in the second order.

This is by design and is not a programming fault in ezimerchant Pro.

Note: The ORDERS section of ezimerchant Pro will always retain the correct order history data - So you can always tell EXACTLY what was entered when the customer ordered.

I really dont think a dedicated bug forum is necessary - If you *think* you have found a bug in ezimerchant please email it to me or the support address and we would be glad to take a look.

Thanks David that makes sense.

I have another issue though.

I have ticked 'email me when someone replies to this thread ' but don't get the emails.

Also I have set up for emails to be sent in the 'checkout completion' section but as of yesterday I do not get these emails either. The orders are downloadable fine though.

My email works fine.

All missing emails (orders and forum notifications) came rushing through 9am today.

I've placed another test order and it came through OK.

We performed a a complete server hardware upgrade on Monday and as a result the emails qued until Tuesday morning at around 9am...

All should be OK now though.
