Hi,
Does anyone here have any experience with 'live chat' type services ,e.g. LivePerson etc., being offered as a support option on their own webstore? Can you recommend or warn against any?
Regards,

I know quite a few sites have it but I think there are alternatives such as boldchat etc that may be free or cheaper. I have been meaning to set this up on my web site but like everything else is on the to do list. From what I have read and seen and used it's great if you sit in front of the PC all day.

Here at ezimerchant.com we used www.liveperson.com (http://www.liveperson.com) for about 12 months - the software was really good, feature rich and reliable.. BUT was extremly expensive compared to other packages.
We have now just swapped over to www.providesupport.com (http://www.providesupport.com) - The service is like a 10th of the price of live person, but you get about 85% of the features. We will use it for a while and if necessary move onto another application like maybe boldchat or somthing similar.

Hi Guys,
I am using Provide Support for my web site and I love it. It is inexpensive and you can see when people come to your site, what they are looking at and you can initiate the chat with them. I highly recommend it as a good cheap alternative.
