Duplicating Records in to many cats

Hiya .. I don't know maybe I am having a blonde moment .. Did there used to be the options in previous version to right click on a product and choose to copy it in to aother or am I mixing it up with other software ?

Anyway this would be great .. example we sell items that match many cats .. we also like to put new things in our new in cat. ATM I am having to manually duplicate product records ..

Yes, I would like to see this too. I also have the same items in more than one category.

Thie ability for a product to exist in multiple categories will be a new feature of version 4.

The category tree will contain 2 new system categories (not used in site generation)

Master Products List: Will list all products
Orphaned Products List: Will list all products which are not assigned to any category.

It will be possible to drag products from one category to another. Depending on where they are dragged from will decide the action taken.

If a product is dragged from the Master Products List, a copy of the product will be placed in the target category.

If a product is dragged from one category to another it will be moved, unless dragging with the right mouse button, in which case a prompt will ask whether to move or copy the product.

Each product will exist only once in the catalogue, regardless of how many categories it is copied to. The copies are merely references to the master product. So if the product is edited anywhere that it exists it will effect that product everywhere that it exists.
