[ed:Keywords removed from link so google doesnt rank this page]
Thanks

Just be the number 1 or 2 highest bidder on a particular keyword (in the Adwords program).
Actually its weird how it works.. Sometimes there are no sponsored links at the top of the page - only to the right hand side and other times they do put two sponsored links at the top as well as on the right hand side.

Hmm, looks like i might do further research into that, It makes sense that the top 2 contributors are sponsors.

It also works on your CTR
To get in the top 2 spots (like David said tho, sometimes there are none), you need to bid high, but it is also how many clicks you are likely to get. Remember its about Google making money.
For example
Add 1: Hair products online
The best, fastest, cheapest guarenteed
www.HairStuff.com.au
Add 2: Hair Products online
We sell hair product on the net
www/HairStuff.com.au
Now you would assume that if these two add came up, you would click add 1
If Add 1 has a CTR of 10% and pays 50c a click, compared with add 2 which has a CTR of 1% and pays 55c a click, obviously Google would make more money out of Add 1 - So this means that Add 1 would get a higher spot (A sponsored link before Add 2)
As you can see, its not all about the highest bidder gets the highest place (Although this is also a very big part)

Hmm , pay per click method sure isnt cheap, ten people could cost you $2 , yet would you make $2 worth of sales from 10 people?
How do you avoid competitors clicking on your link on google to try and charge you money?

Google does have a few things which will stop your budget getting maxed out, for instance I think they are very cluey on macros and they also have something with the depth that you go in. So you couldn't click and press back, click and press back etc.
Sure your competitors might do a few, but most don't
As for the pay per click, you can decide how much you want to bid per word, thats why its important to get key words which filter out buyers from lookers.
Eg : Buy hair products, rather then hair products.

Thanks, I have entered in 15 keywords in google, set a max of $.50 per click and a $25 daily budget yet it says I will only get 8 clicks a day? and most of the keywords says 0.1 estimated clicks daily? Surely there is a bigger market or more people must search these things? anything im doing wrong.
Thanks

Hi,
Don't take too much notice of what google says about estimated visits and clicks etc. Best just to set the campaign going and see what happens.
Cheers

Yeah I agree, don't listen to Google, it was telling me I needed an advertising budget of $800 per day.

Hmm I can see why it thought you needed $800 a day, millions of websites with "adult material" which i assume is hard to get up in the top ranks on google for some of your keywords. I guess you put buy infront of them and it lowers the cost.
I am also planning to put ads in Homosexual magazines (as this is my targeted market)
Is that a good idea? I think a mix of adwords and media advertising will be good.
Thanks

Greeting,
I'm new here and its great site thanks for Moderator !!!
Yeah the figures that Google put is of no relation to the real world, try to play with the figure and test the result, for example I had the same concern like you with the numbers some words got 0.01 so I tried to put $6 per click( just to see what the figures will be, there is no way I will pay $6 per click) and the result was the same as paying 0.50c
so don't look into these numbers much
Again thanks for having me here....

I usually play with the cost figure, like from 50 cents right through to $5 a click to see what price for what position. Google won't charge you the highest figure if you type in to be uno numero unles the competitor is way over what you are willing to put in.
Second is not a bad thing either, especially as mentioned above your adword has powerful words such as "cheap " oe best on the market etc. Some words Google doesn't like so be aware they may slap you for it.
