Hi, I am currentlly finishing setting up my website, I run 2 websites, I already have a banner from my other one on my new website, Im looking for more affilates , what is the best way to go about this? should i go around contacting people related to my industry or should i go through something like clixgore, If one of these affilates directed a person to my website and they bought something for $100 , how much would i give to clixgore ect, how does it work, I dont want it to eat into my profits so perhaps doing it manually and not through someone like clixgore is the way to go?

Any help would be apreciated

Thanks

You can select how much each affiliate gets, and how long they have to get it.

Think of it this way, if I am your affiliate, you select how long the cookie lasts for - what this means is how long does someone have to buy something from your website after clicking my link to get to you.

For example:
You set a cookie for 30 days: Someone clicks my link from my site to yours, now they might not buy something today, but if they buy something from your website within that 30 days, regardless of whether they come thru my site again, or direct to you I get a commission.

The other thing you are able to do is offer your affiliate a % per sale or a % per view or a flat rate per sale or per view.

All of these things are up to your control, however bear this in mind, if you set cookies to 7 days and comms of 1% what is in it for your affiliate? No one will help you. But you need to find that balance of the right terms, compared with the right amount of money you earn.

Clixgalore takes a comm as well. (I think it is 10%)

With Clizgalore you will also need a minimun account to start, this is before you even get an affiliate.

Affiliates can make you lots of money, but it certainly is not an overnight thing and you might get alot of dud affiliates before you can find a good one.

In your other posts you are looking at getting a Google Adwords campaign up and running, I think you will see better results, quicker, then you will get with a affiliate/s

I was just reading the clixgalore site - it's 25% of whatever you pay the affiliate.
If you pay 10% per sale to the affiliate, and you have a $100 sale, affiliate gets $10 & clixgalore gets $2.50 = $12.50 (12.5%) of your $100 sale
