Amongst lots of things i'm working on, what are the conseqences of changing the Category Numbers and Product Numbers in the MS Access MDB?? (oh yea after making a backup 1st).

Which fields specifically did you want to change?
Changing the Product CODE or Name etc shouldnt be a probelm.
Changing a Category ID or Product ID (internal unique number assigned by ezimerchant) will however.

Hi Dave,
When each page is generated, it has a unique html number...ie product34 or category97.
This is what I want to change. At the moment, most of the products in one shop have the exact same numbers as another shop. Yes same content too. We are changing the content (title, desc, meta stuff too) so its more unique. Damn sandbox! Next time I'll think more in advance.
Cheers,
Greg

Hi Greg
Do you want the sites to have different names for search engine purposes?
If so, changing of the internal product ID would need to be modified. Please email me to continue further.

If I had products in a catergory of NEW would I need to actually delete them from there and add them to a different category eg. TOOLs after a period of time or could I just change the product catergory in the database?
