ezimerchant Professional has undergone a fairly major UI overhaul. The main screen in ezimerchant has now been given a name - The ezimerchant Professional Control Panel.
All options on the Control Panel have been renamed and rearranged into a more logical layout. These are still subject to change and improvement.
New Look and Feel. ezimerchant Professional has been given a completly new, more modern look and feel.The Control Panel is now broken up into the following major sections. We have listed the major features and improvements in each of these sections.
Site Content
Create and edit website pages
(formerly known as 'Add new pages to your web site')
Specify Page Title, Page Description and Meta Tags for each page to enhance search engine optimisation efforts.Products and Categories
Products can now be assigned to multiple categories - eliminating the need for double data entry.
Master and Orphan product list - easily display all products or those that don't belong to any category easily.
Prices can now be inputted or imported in either inc or ex tax - ezimerchant Pro does the calculations for you!
'Move to Top' feature added to right click menu - Which moved the selected product to the top of the category. (manual sorting mode only)
Plain text description field added - to be used for data feeds.
Availability feature: Products can be displayed on the website without a BUY button or Price - Handy for products that are out of stock or not available.
Category tab added to product details - see at a glance what categories a particular product is assigned to.
Double quotes " can now be used in product names without upsetting the shopping cart.Online Marketing and SEO
Data Feeds
New data feeds for GetPrice, BuyThis, ShopBot, ShopFerret, Google Sitemap, clix Galore, Shopping.com.Promotions and Gift Vouchers
(This is an entirely new section in ezimerchant and contains three major new features)
New promotions feature - Run more than one promotion at a time. Promotions can now contain promotion codes, so only qualifying customers get the promotion.
Shipping Promotions - Similar to the above but applies to the freight charges only. For example: You may want to issue a client with a promotion code which allows them to get free freight for their next order. This feature makes it possible.
Gift Vouchers - Create and distribute gift vouchers to your clients.Customers and Orders
Download/View Orders
Separate First Name, Last Name and Salutation fields - Makes it easier to find an order by sorting names correctly.
Country flags displayed for fraud check features - Helps give a more visual indication of customers actual location compared to their claimed location.
Several new order report templates, tax invoice, packing slip etc - Yet To be implemented.
Order status folders can now be reorganised (moved up and down) - Yet To be implemented.Customer Relationshop Management
(Formally known as 'Customer Membership Services')
This section has undergone a complete rewrite.
Bulk emails to customer database.
Fully automated unsubscribe feature.
Personalised for each of your recipients. Example: Address the email to the contacts first name.
Keep your customer database private - ezimerchant sends each email individually unlike many other bulk emailers which include a list of all recipients in the email headers.
Spam Act 2003 compliant
Reduce the amount of emails detected as spam - by sending the email from your own hosting providers SMTP server.
Import contacts from other email databases.
Email sender works in the background - you dont even need ezimerchant Pro running to send emails.General Web Site Settings
New Payment method - BPay.
