When i try to install the upgrade, i get a message that Ezimerchant Pro is not installed on my system.
I've tried restarts, and reinstalls with ezimerchant closed and open...

When installing any ezimerchant upgrade (the version four upgrade is no different) it looks into your PC's Registry to check where the current version is installed. If your registry is incomplete or is missing the entry then the install will fail.

If your PC has not got ezimerchant installed already, do so by installing the trial version from our site. Then upgrade to V4.0.

If your PC DOES have ezimerchant installed, then you will need to correct the system registry.

To do this, click START-> RUN and type REGEDIT and click OK.

Then in the Registry Editor, navigate to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Infomedia\ezimerchantp ro\settings

in here you need to create a new string value.. So with the above folder selected, put the mouse to the right hand side panel and right click and select NEW-> STRING Value.

Make it called -> appdir
Then make the valuedata the location of your ezimerchant Pro install. This is NORMALLY c:\programfiles\ezimercpro

Once you have done this, close the registry editor and then install the update.

YOU MUST get the folder path correct OR the update will install its files into the wrong folder and your ezimerchant install wont get updated.

Brilliant!
I copied the ezimerchant folder when upgrading to another computer. That file was missing...
All good now thanks!
