i've uploaded my website and the search page has nothing in the way of a seach function on it - all the correct codes are there (ive check with other templates) and i have:

<#SearchCode>
*<#GenByLink>
<#BannerText>

so why isn't it working? the menu and such all work as normal.

In the ADD NEW PAGES section of ezimerchant Pro, do you have the TWO ticks next to the search page?

Chances are, if you edited the search page, you have done somthing to the code.. Try another theme to see what happens?

both boxes are ticked. i had unticked the "display link" ones at first as i have made my own links and didnt need the link graphic displayed - is this what this tick box is used for? i have only edited the links on the page, but not in the area where search boxes should be displayed? i haven't touched these areas.

Hi

The active checkbox is all thats needed to get the search page to generate. The Display link checkbox just puts a link to the search page in the navigation bar - So this checkbox is really optional.

i know this is an old post, but I had the same problem for a while. If you look in the top of the search page in any given theme, you'll see it has something along the lines of <#SearchForm> written at the top. Chances are you made the search page by copying the tags into a single page, and left out that bit from the top. Just copy and paste it into the new theme, and all should be well

Yes, the following two tags are required for the search page to work:

<#SearchForm>
<#SearchCode>

Please ensure these two tags exist in your search.htm and modsearch.htm theme files.
