Hi,

The inclusion of the premimum data feeds is excellent, i have often forgotten to re-generate the feeds of my site as i was previously doing feeds manually. This will ensure i no longer forget, because we are always adding new products and refreshing the site its good to know the feeds will be refreshed at the same time...good work.

Will expect to see an increase in traffic now.

Can we use this feature now?

Hi

Yes, the data feeds feature is a great edition - Please give them a go and tell us what you think!

Maybe a silly question, but i'll have a go anyway.

Say i enable some of the the data feeds, do i then have to go to the comparison / affiliate website and become a member or signup to give them any info on my site or is that done automatically?

Some require a pay per click and need credit to start, some dont.

The extra added to the monthly direct debit is just to generate the feed or does it cover the cost of the feed going to the participating websites?

Hi Jason

Yes, you would need to organise with each of the individial comparison sites to have your feed activated. Most will charge you fees etc. The fee we charge is to generate the feed and keep it uptodate.

Hey everyone,

Fantastic all the feeds are here. Is there somewhere David where we can see the specifications for each feed that you provide so we could compare it to what we actually need? In particular I am looking for a feed that would provide my product code.

Cheers
Hal

Hi Hal

Can you clarify?

Product Feeds allow you to pump your product information into other websites - Its a way of transfering product data to other parties.

Each feed is designed for a specific provider and each has their own unique specifications.

Hi David,

I understand what the feeds do. Most of the online shopping comparison sites are fairly flexible about what they will accept. However, to get my books onto either Getprice or Shopping.com I need to give them the ISBN number. Currently the Getprice and Shopping.com feeds do not have an ISBN number field. I could use the product code field but this is also not in either the Getprice or Shopping.com feed. Justing trying to find a feed that has the best selection of fields to use. Both my comparison sites are happy to modify around whatever format I give them.

Hope you understand.

Cheers
Hal

Hi Hal

Due to ezimerchant Pro not having anywhere to store the ISBN field, we dont supply it in the feeds. The data simply does not exist in ezimerchant.

We will look to add some user definable fields - such as MPN, UPC, ISBN etc. These could then be used in each of the datafeeds.

I have forwarded a request to our programmers to get these fields included for you as soon as possible.

for all those out there that havent given the data feeds a go. you are missing out!

I implemented them into clix galore, google, au.shopping, my shopping and get price and the results are more than outstanding!!!

my google traffic has soared now that all my pages have been quickly indexed. and my sales through clix galore, my shopping and au.shopping have been mind boggling! Deffinately worth While feature of V4.

If there are any merchants out there that want to make comission from my site then you can by going to clix galore and checking out and requesting our data feed catalogue marketing from them under Ocean storm fishing tackle.
we sell fishing stuff.

For those merchants that want to get more exposure I deffinately recommend the data feeds in the new V4 . take advantage of this feature!

I have just up-graded to ezimerchant 4 and when I opened up the products I discovered the new Data Feeds column and couldn't remember what it was all about.

So I entered "Data Feed" into the ezimerchant web site FAQ Search. I received 15 replies, but nothing on Data Feeds. :(

Then I remembered I had read about them in an earlier release on the coming changes.

But maybe your FAQ Search list needs an addition David.

Thanks for a great program David.

Each data feed is documented inside ezimerchant. If you go into the DataFeeds section (you will find this in the middle left of the main ezimerchant screen) you will find a MORE INFORMATION button. This button when clicked will show you detailed information about the particular data feed that is selected.

You can also find detailed information about data feeds in this forum: http://forums.ezimerchant.com/showthread.php?t=590&highlight=datafeed
