I in the process of doing a demo for someone via my website and need to use there images for this demonstrations. I do not want to copy, save and then insert the pics. I just want to use thers images that exist on there server and put the url for these images and point my image path at their directory
Can this be done? and how?
Thanks

As ezimerchant is essentially an offline content management system, it will require a local copy of the images.

I am certain I have copied the whole page in html into the description text box and it would show the image from that site

You can do it, the question is should you do it.
Remember that instead of using your upload traffic the client will use the sites traffic the picture originates from.
While a good saving on your part if you have a lot of traffic, not fun for the person who owns the original site/picture and has to pay excess traffic fees not too mention their huge slowdown in servicing their legit clients because you and maybe 50 other sites have exponentially increased their traffic.
All you have to ask is what if it happened to you ?

I only do it to sites that are my suppliers. I expect the same to be done to me by my dealers and as I have 250GB of bandwidth I am not concerened if done by my dealers.

You also have to concider the possability of your suppliers site being down. If its down, then your site will have missing images for the duration of the outage. Whereas if you host all the images, the site only relies on its own hosting server to be up and running.
