No discount to Gift Vouchers

I've put a category to purchase gift vouchers, but if I do a site wide %off I'd love that Gift Vouchers weren't discounted... if they buy a discounted voucher, then redeem it during another sale, they're getting two bites of the cherry so to speak...
Any way to make an item or category exempt from %off sales?

Currently no.

The gift certificate feature in ezimerchant was designed so you can issue certificates for clients to use, not to sell them online.

I implemented buying gift vouchers online a few weeks ago and have sold some. however i do agree that it should be focused for purchasing gift vouchers online and not just instore clients.

I like the new voucher system especially for future where i can send gift vouchers to certain clients that have purchased from me for a small value say $5.00 for them to use on future purchases (kind of a marketing strategy)

However getting back to the buying them for online use directly from the website i agree with joshjen. it would be good if they could be eluded from discount and also freight
