A simple check freight box that can be clicked on for a specific product that requires the customer to type in their postcode and a freight cost will pop up. Currently the customer has to input anything into the personal details to get a result on freight. If it is an item too large/heavy then an email will be sent to the shop owner for a request for freight cost.

I find a similar situation, I get a lot of emails and feedback requesting freight prices and have had feedback from some that said they have not purchased from me because of the lack of freight information.

Although I have a page on freight info and links clearly visable on my home page the problem is when i get direct clicks to product content pages from search engines people start asking the questions about freight then.

So I agree that it would be great if there was a button that could be added in the ezimerchant program (like the detailed info button) so that when a product content page is generated the user can click to find out the freight. even if it is not for post codes but freight rates for local, interstate, international to be shown would even help. and even freight discount options.

I think that peoplethese days don't like to read "Alot" of information as such.

Perhaps if you quoted the base freight rate for Intrastate, Intersate and International. Also, expressing that each, if over a certain weight will incur a high freight cost and it will be shown in the checkout. That should be enough for customers to acknowledge what the base rate is and then depending on the weight of total will depend if their charge extra for they purchases.

Have this information appear not only on your homepage, though also on your detail product pages as well.

Have your buttons created to appear on each page then link from there to your freight option or possibly have a freight button in the frame where you have your category list.

There are great programs out there that you can buy to create these. Though if your not a web master or not sure you can do it. Contact a web master to create them for you.

In my opinion, and my opinion only, if its not standing out from the rest of the page people are more then likely to skim over it whilst they are perusing any site.

There are people out they that will click on all your tabs and read through and there are some that do not.
