David as per our conversation, there is a problem using the Australia Post Delivery Calculator DRC for cubic weighted items, like boxes.

The DRC works on cubic weight for items that are boxed for delivery within Australia, but when they are for export, they are not calculated by cubic weight by the DRC, they are calculated by actual weight. (that's a mouth full)

There needs to be different weight options column in ezimerchant for domestic/local freight and international freight, which are calculated differently by Australia Post’s DRC. (I know it is a fairly big job but if you wish to provided the use of the DRC then it needs to be set for all sorts of freight).

As an E-commerce site the freight should be able to be calculated on weight for different destinations both locally & OS but this is not the case with the current version.

Have had some problems when dealing with freight on ezimerchant. Other than this I love the program.

For those using or wishing to use the DRC they need to be aware of the freight problem when dealing with cubic weighted items.

I have reverted to using set rates, but these are not an exact way of dealing with different regions.

Hi

Yes, we have this logged as a bug - and will sort it out. Unfortunalty all the merchants using the DRC at the moment are not going to like the data entry thats going to be required.

Example: We either need to add three extra fields (hight, width, depth) OR add a single extra field called cubic weight - which is used for domestic calculations only - either way, merchants are going to have to do more data entry to make it work properly.
